Not knowing if I’ll have either Murbella or Żuczek fully running again this year, I had thought about letting their registration slip in 2021.
While not overly expensive, the yearly fee they charge for personalized plates in Ohio is really an annoyance.
I mean, I can understand the first year, but it isn’t exactly like they are making the old school custom embossed plates anymore. They are just a damn vinyl-bonded metal plate. Very little effort or work in these modern ones.
And to charge an additional $50 every year to have something different in the database really kind of pisses me off.
I’d charge maybe $200 at first request, and then just be normal places in terms of fees.
So. Instead of the $60 or so for the daily drives, I pay $120 per plate per year for the Murbella or Żuczek.
Anyway, since I got an unexpected bonus in the stimulus money, I went ahead and just renewed them since they expire tomorrow.
So. That means I need to get both cars fully functional and on the road again sometime in 2020, right?
