I’ve now started down the path of looking into Fitech’s EFI solution, specially the system configured and sold by Lowbugget.com.
I’ve emailed some questions to the vendor and hopefully will hear back soon.
While I prefer the general engine bay look of a dual throttle body setup for FI, I’ve decided to give considerations to those single manifold style ones if they’ll give me a modern reliable system with as minimal changes to wiring, layout, exhaust, etc. to Murbella.
Lowbugget’s info at least seems to imply it will be the simplest system to implement over say CB Performance or the Dub Shop’s options, and quite frankly, simple is what I need to be going after here. Here’s more pics of their system install here.
Now I’ll still need to add an O2 sensor to the exhaust, and given how much I spent on restoring and ceramic coating the original exhaust, I’ll likely use the aftermarket new one I have with whatever system I go with. Still need to find someone to do the welding.
I’m really once of these systems works with Murbella’s original dual fuel plumbing lines.
The more mods I am required to do for these FI systems the less likely they’ll be feasible now and I’ll just have to continue with the Bosch L-Jetronic FI for now pending future work. I mean, if I had originally intended to put a 2776cc into her, and all that entails on the engine side, I’d probably be more willing to mod her fuel lines and such. But that was never really the plan.
