Engine – Day 8
So I tore down the crank and flywheel yet again and cleaned up the surfaces and pins and reinstalled it all, doing my best to put as much force onto the crank to drive it down as much as possible.
I then torqued the gland nut as much as possible outside of a flywheel locked environment and got it slightly tighter than yesterday.
Now I can make this work with 4 shims and still have the .004″ clearance.
I’m going to throw this back to Marc and if he still feels it’ll work then I’m going with this.
