So I got the Fuel Injector test results back from Cruzin Performance and I’m happy to say that they all passed with flying colors, including the Cold Start Valve!
I was a littler worried since I have no idea what to expect given their age and potential, though unlikely, to have 237K miles on them.
Tests Results Before Cleaning
It appears he puts them through diagnostic pass to prior to any cleaning to assess them. Then runs them through again after they’ve been completely cleaned, disassembled, have new seals and caps installed, etc.
All seem to be well within each others’ ranges even before cleaning.
Tests Results After Cleaning
Frankly, there are no major differences between the before and after tests. Though several numbers did move up, especially for something called a Second Static Flow test. He notes “Tests performed at 0.705 specific gravity. Cold start injector cleaned and tested fine.”
He replaced 4 pintle caps, 8 seals, 4 screens, and then the 4 hoses I paid extra to have replaced with new lines.
For $107.85 total this was more than worth it for peace of mind on something I know very little about.
I’m kind of excited to see what they look like when they come back!
