So most of the VW-centric vendors don’t focus on the widest availability of carburetor parts for VWs.
Sure, they have the basics, and often various kits, but when it comes down to the individual bits and pieces, especially a wide range of jetting options, no one vendor has a wide variety.
I ended up opting to get my ICT/EPC jets from a new vendor just so it would all come from the same place and not piecemeal.
So I placed an order with Carbs Unlimited. Honestly, trying to shop at their site is a bit of a pain as it is incredibly dated from a online ordering perspective.
Hopefully everything helps to jet the carbs properly for the engine size. As I mentioned previously, I’m going with Wayout Westie’s configuration and ordered 145 mains, 165 air correction, and 150 needle valves and a few extra gaskets to have on hand.
The needle valves were rather expensive, but no more expensive than any other place that had them.
I still need to work out the balance tube parts, but after that, I’m spending no more money on the carbs. I just can’t.
I’ve got way too much into this engine and am so far over budget already.
