So I finally got around unpacking and sorting everything I recently purchased.
As a general preparation step, I always unpack everything and try to go over what shipped. I count bolts and nuts and washers to ensure everything is proper and depending on what the auto project entails, I will restort the parts into bins and bags labeled as necessary.
I pretty much have everything I think I’ll need for the suspension, axle, and wheel work.
I know I have the new spring plate bushings somewhere as well as the new transaxle mounts but I did not see them in the bins yet.
I will say once thing, in going through all of the parts , I’m really glad I spent a few more bucks and went with the German made CV Axle Boot kits from SoCalParts instead of the generic cheaper ones. The parts just feel superior, especially the rubber of the boot itself than some I’ve seen. I wish they would have thrown in the serrated washers for the new bolts, but I found those at Topline. I already have new torque washers from a purchase in late 2018 but those are MIA with the mounts and bushings. (Probably in the same bin.)
I do need to get some fresh wheel bearing grease and probably a bit more CV joint grease as well as a little tube of that urethane bushing lubricant. But that need is still a ways off.
I’m hoping I don’t need anything more for the engine work.
