So the cheap ass Raiseek Handgun .45 Caliber Pistol Cleaning Kit Brush Kit I purchased on Amazon finally arrived. Between the bore brushes I already own, and this kit, I should be able to do a 100% solid cleaning of all internal oil galleries and passages in the AH engine. I’m also hoping the cleaning work doesn’t destroy this in the process.
It was super cheap at like $12 but I’d at least like to get a couple of engines’ use out of it before the brushes are shot.
It is not unlike the kit my father used in the 1970’s to clean his police service revolver (when they still used those). Note: My father is a retired police officer.
I used to assist him with his weekly gun cleaning.
There was this very specific citrus smelling cleaning solvent he used to use. I can still recall the smell all these 40 years later now.
Anyway, I like the fact that this one breaks down into a small kit and will be easy to put away. The extensions in his were about the length of two of these and it was quite a box if I recall.
