An EFI engine to make me weep.

PowerhouseVW posted this test run of a new engine build the other day and I’ve been blown away at this.

A lot of my research last year was about wanting to eventually have modern FI on my cars.

I’ll continue restoring and working on Murbella’s L-Jetronic system and try and get her new engine running on the restored system, but while doing that I will most definitely be dreaming of an engine like this.

The Porsche-style centered fan shrouds at that amazing symmetry that is completed by the dual throttle bodies.

The video’s description reads “Powerhaus Built 2387cc Redline Weber Sequential EFI with Dual 50mm Throttle Bodies getting dialed in at different load conditions on our water brake dyno.”

I need to do more research on the Redline Webber EFI systems and if someone with limited knowledge (but a capacity to learn) could install, configure, and maintain such system.

While I would love to purchase a warrantied turnkey engine like this, the $12,000+ costs are too prohibitive for me for what amounts to a hobby vehicle.

If I don’t end up just selling off my cars, I can definitely see some kind of engine similar to, but not identical to this in the future.
