So the final engine items arrived from CB Performance.

Their fuel pump block off plate is much nicer looking than the crappy EMPI one and a bit thinner as well.
I’d still like to get some shorter studs and then top it off with 2 lower-profile jam nuts to not add too much to the overall height. I’ll run to Beechwold Hardware tomorrow and see if they’ve got anything that works. They often do for nuts and bolts and such that don’t require critical torques and grade specifics.

So I’m always reading “make sure you get your lifters from the same place as your camshafts” and while I see quite often Engle and SCAT cams come in full kits, I never really took this to heart when building engines and jst made sure I used new stock type ones with a new cam and never reused or mixed used lifters up if just doing a rebuild with the original.
But I opened up the package expecting some kind of CB Performance branded lifters and these are the exact same Brazilian lifters I was already planning on using once I opted to not use the lube-a-lobe lifters.
So… yeah… same stuff… different place… as is so often the case.
The forged flywheel arrived as well.
