Unfortunately, the only auto work to happen recently was the replacement of my headlight lamps in the Deluxe Luxury 2013 Subaru Forester.
I’ve been running on only 1 headlight for a few weeks and as we left last night for dinner the other one went out.
Let’s just say that I’m surprised I wasn’t pulled over by the cops.
Damn some streets were really really dark and hard to see without the lights working. I put on the high beams but of course, that just pissed off oncoming traffic.
They were actually pretty easy to replace, with only the battery needing to be removed to access the driver side lamp.
One problem that I’ll need to deal with come springtime is the battery mount.
I knew it felt odd when I was trying to turn the bolt and of course, I was actually bending the bolt itself until it completely broke.
The nut was totally corroded onto the bolt and in general, I need to do a bit of maintenance on all of the terminals as the locking plate has corroded too.
